Offerings

The alternative investment space encompasses an array of investment instruments and strategies. While the underlying securities and asset classes may vary, alternative investments typically share a low correlation with traditional investments in publicly traded stocks and bonds. ONYX brings its partners quality offerings in five different categories of alternative investments.

Real Estate Funds

These funds create value for their investors by purchasing properties and adding value by enhancing them or repositioning their appeal in the marketplace prior to selling them.

Alternative Mutual Funds

Mutual Funds that take an alternative asset management approach. Among these include long / short mutual funds and strategically managed mutual funds

Hedge Funds

These actively managed investment vehicles were originally created as hedged portfolios that combined long and short positions in the stock market. But now hedge funds pursue a wide range of strategies in an assortment of asset classes. What many of them have in common is a focus on seeking consistently positive absolute returns rather than simply outperforming a relative benchmark. Hedge funds are also marked by compensation systems which provide substantial rewards to managers when they achieve attractive results for investors.

Private Equity Funds

These funds invest in privately held companies with the goal of improving their performance and either selling the company to a strategic investor or taking it public. In addition to those private equity funds that invest in established companies, many funds invest in startups or young companies and seek to nurture their growth before selling their holdings.

Fund of Funds

These funds make investments in other funds, enabling their investors to achieve immediate diversification as well as ongoing oversight and management of their positions.
